What is a STD file
STD files are template files created by drawing programs that are used to create vector graphics and images. The file itself is not used as a complete vector image but rather as a basis for creating vector images from one and the same underlying template. It enables users of programs such as OpenOffice Draw, the LibreOffice equivalent, and others to create visually similar vector drawings.
While this file format is primarily created by OpenOffice Draw, other programs such as the LibreOffice suite and NeoOffice can open STD files as well. The format was later replaced by the OTG file format.
Here's a small, but not exhaustive list of programs that can open STD documents:
- LibreOffice (Windows, Mac & Linux)
- OpenOffice Draw (Windows, Mac & Linux)
- Planamesa NeoOffice (Mac)
