What is a MSWMM file
MSWMM is the file extension used by the Windows Movie Maker. The Windows Movie Maker is a free software which is included in every genuine Windows version whether it is Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Vista, Windows XP, or Windows ME. It is a software for video editing which is available in 64 languages. Projects created with the Windows Movie Maker are stored with the MSWMM file extension.
MSWMM file extensions are used by video projects edited in Microsoft's Windows Movie Maker. These project files can contain references to files such as images, graphics, audio, videos with different file formats (such as MP4, 3GP, FLV, AAC, AVI, WMV, MPG, WMA, and much more). The MSWMM file, however, does not contain the actual media data of these files, but merely references to the location of these files on a computer.
