What is a DTP file
DTP files are created using the Publish-iT desktop publishing software. When creating a page layout using this program, it is saved in the DTP format. Such files are use to create layouts for different print media like newsletters, flyers or brochures.
The page layout files saved with the DTP extension can contain all information needed for printing and, ultimately, publishing these documents. This includes text with different formatting styles, images and special properties of the individual page layout. Furthermore, DTP files allow for single as well as multiple pages.
