What is a 3GPP file
The advance technology of the Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) was created for the third generation mobile phones, with the aim to reduce file size and have a format compatible across different mobile devices. 3GPP is widely renowned in the GSM market.
The 3GPP file stores MPEG-4 part 2/H. 263/MPEG-4 part 10 (H.264) data, and the audio element as AMR AMR-NB/AMR-WB/AMR-WB+/AAC-LC/HE-AAC V1. 3GPP is a multimedia file and it is supported by the Third Generation Partnership Project for multimedia services. Apart from 3g phones it can be run on 2g and 4g phones as well.
Here's a small, but not exhaustive list of programs that can open 3GPP documents:
- QuickTime Player
- VLC Media Player
